Lviv IT Cluster has raised the first funds with its new project United for Health. IT Cluster’s companies donated 3 million UAH to support Lviv and Lviv region in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lviv IT Cluster has recently launched an emergency project United for Health, which aims to prevent the spread of coronavirus, help the infected citizens, and create a special Coronavirus Fund.
As of March 25, due to joint efforts of Lviv IT companies, the first 3 million UAH were raised. The money will be used to purchase COVID-19 express tests for mass testing of the residents of Lviv and Lviv region. Lviv IT Cluster will start receiving parts of the first batch at the end of this week. All rapid COVID-19 antibody detection tests of the first batch (20,000 units) will be delivered to Lviv in 9 days. Sars-Cov-2-lgG/IgM express tests by Testsealabs are in the list of recommended tests and were agreed upon by Coronavirus emergency operation center in Lviv.
As a reminder, in the first phase of the United for health project, Lviv IT Cluster is raising funds within the Lviv IT community to organize mass testing to detect COVID-19 in the residents of Lviv and Lviv region. Then, a fundraising campaign for the city’s medical facilities’ urgent needs will commence and a Coronavirus Fund will be launched.
According to the media, as of March 25, 96 people have been tested for coronavirus in Lviv region.
