Yalantis announces new strategic focus on IoT and expands leadership team

Ukrainian IT company Yalantis is shifting its strategy toward IoT solutions that span hardware and software and is strengthening its management team.

Yalantis, which has operated in the global software development market for more than 17 years, is announcing a change of course. From now on, the company will focus on building IoT solutions that bring together hardware and software, including firmware, while continuing to deliver specialized development services for clients.

As part of this shift, the leadership team has been expanded. Mykhailo Maidan has been appointed Chief Technology Officer, and Denys Hukov has taken the role of Chief Growth Officer. Both leaders started their careers at Yalantis as engineers and managers and now join the leadership team that will shape the company’s future.

“We see enormous potential in IoT. Today, about 40% of our projects are connected to the Internet of Things in one way or another, and this share is rising. While we keep our expertise in traditional services, our priority is to strengthen in the areas where we can compete among global leaders,” comments Denys Rudenko, CEO of Yalantis.

Yalantis was founded in 2008, when the mobile app market was only beginning to take shape. Over the years, it has grown from a small development studio into a large service company with more than 20 technology practices and a strong project management culture. On this foundation, IoT is now the company’s main focus, with projects in healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, and logistics.

To support this focus, Yalantis has launched an in-house R&D lab at its Warsaw office. The lab covers the full hardware cycle: industrial design and enclosures; electronics and PCB design; prototyping and testing; firmware and embedded software. This setup lets teams move faster from idea to prototype and prepare devices for production within one environment. As a result, release cycles shorten and quality control improves at every stage.

At the same time, the company continues to scale its operations. Today, the group comprises four companies, including Yalantis, and one of them is dedicated to cybersecurity. The team numbers over 400 specialists and continues to expand. Meanwhile, the client base remains global: the company partners with startups and major enterprises in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

People remain a core priority. Yalantis maintains one of the highest seniority levels in the Ukrainian IT market and invests in training and leadership programs while working closely with universities. Consequently, hiring stays active: around 20 new vacancies open each month, with demand for IoT engineers, PCB designers, solution architects, and developers with experience in AI systems.

Looking ahead, the company is shaping a longer term plan with a clear goal: to become one of the top 10 IoT providers in Europe. To that end, Yalantis is strengthening its presence in Europe and preparing new representative offices in the United States and across the European Union, while deepening its expertise in hardware and embedded software.
