Corporate Social Responsibility of the IT company Boosta: Results of 2023
The future depends on the specific actions of each individual, each business, and each organization. That’s why all progressive companies strive to join initiatives impacting society’s well-being. The international IT company Boosta also understands the importance of corporate social responsibility, which is why they and their employees actively support and participate in meaningful projects. Read below about what Boosta has achieved in 2023.
The full-scale war has united the entire country in the fight against Russian aggression. Therefore, many of the company’s initiatives aim to support Ukraine on economic and informational fronts.
For the second consecutive year, Boosta has been running the Ukrainian Victory Support initiative, through which the company allocates funds monthly for the voluntary contributions of its employees or their close ones. In 2023, the company successfully participated in 254 such collections, with a total contribution of 1,256,200 UAH. This project became a finalist in the HR PRO Awards in the “Resilience and Charity” category.
Additionally, on International Women’s Day, the company redirected the funds initially intended for greeting female colleagues to charitable organizations “Zemlyachky,” “Masha Foundation,” and “Kolo.”
Boosta organized a clothing drive and contributed its merchandise to the “Dress the Wounded” project, where volunteers alter clothing so injured military personnel can comfortably wear it despite injuries to specific body parts.
Furthermore, the company donated numerous essential items, such as blankets, thermal mugs, and more, to meet the needs of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
In addition, as part of the annual charity campaign Charity Mykolay, Boosta raised 370,000 UAH to purchase medications for the Center of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardio Surgery.
The company also supported various charitable organizations not only with funds but also in other ways:
Donated five laptops to the public organization “Mistetstvo Mriyi,” whose mission is to socialize youth with mental disabilities.
Organized a collection of clothing, toys, bed linens, and tableware and donated the collected items to the International Charitable Foundation “Beautiful Deeds.”
Contributed its stationery to the charitable foundation “YangolyUA” and kitchenware to the “Kengurush” foundation.
Company experts visited the Patron Pet Center, the world’s first animal adoption center of a unique format, where they assisted with dog walking. Additionally, Boosta financially supported the center and transferred funds to their account.
A separate and significant focus of Boosta’s work is educational initiatives.
In March 2022, the company opened free access to all courses at Boosta Academy for Ukrainians, and currently, the course “Customer Care: Support & Sales” remains open. This presents a wonderful opportunity for individuals to learn a new profession and start their careers.
Furthermore, Boosta participated in the “Modern Creative Professions. Digital Marketing” course by Deeds4kids. The event involved children from the charitable project “Childhood Without War,” which has evacuated over 2700 orphaned children and accompanying individuals since the beginning of the war. Boosta specialists introduced the children to professions in SEO and link building.
To support Ukrainian women who lost their jobs due to the full-scale war, Boosta professionals joined the “Women For The Future” project, serving as mentors for a course on self-presentation and successful negotiations with employers.
Eleven representatives from Boosta contributed as speakers to 15 specialized educational events, including conferences, educational webinars, and meetups.
Additionally, the company continued its efforts in working with students and young professionals:
They launched an internship program for recruiters.
The company participated in more than 15 partnering events for youth.
Boosta experts conducted ten lectures and seminars on design, digital marketing, development, and other topics at Ukrainian universities.
“Corporate social responsibility is not a whim but a requirement of our time. Every conscious company should exert maximum effort to make the world around us better. So, in 2023, we at Boosta worked hard. We worked for victory, donated, volunteered, supported educational initiatives, and created our own. We believe every step, even a very small, influences our today and tomorrow. We promise that 2024 will be no exception,” commented Anastasiia Govorun, Head of Communications at Boosta.
