On February 7, within the framework of the Victory Projects initiative and the Guardian project, the Lviv IT Cluster procured two portable Electronic Warfare (EW) systems to aid in the fight against enemy UAVs.
The border guards received the first portable system, KVERTUS AD KRAKEN E. It is a system designed to protect critical facilities and locations of units from drones. It creates 360⁰ radio interference and includes an additional block of directional antennas to enhance protection in a specific direction. One more system will be delivered soon. The cost of the equipment is over UAH 1,100,000.
“This stage of the war is a drone war. The enemy’s advantage in the sky is significant. Therefore, EW systems are urgently needed on the front line. Border guards have already tested this type of system on the battlefield. In particular, in one week and in one of the directions, such a device successfully neutralized almost 50 enemy kamikaze drones,” says Ihor Matviychuk, representative of the Western Regional Management of the State Border Guard Service
The Guardian project aims to improve the level of training for border guards. Lviv IT Cluster, together with its partners, has committed itself to enhancing the working conditions of personnel, increasing the speed of information processing, and improving the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service.
