On June 14, 2022, a member of the Lviv IT Cluster community, Impressit, presented a social video, which aims to call for cooperation with Ukrainian IT companies.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has caused a number of serious problems, including the economic crisis. According to preliminary IMF estimates, Ukraine could lose up to 35% of GDP. Given this, the IT industry can become one of the pillars of the domestic economy. In 2021 alone, the industry grew by 36% and brought the country $ 6.8 billion in export earnings.
Over the last decade, our country has become one of the most famous and promising IT hubs in Eastern Europe. And we will not allow the war to change this status. Given this potential and aware of the possible challenges Ukraine economy may face, Impressit has created a social video. Its main focus is the call to the English-speaking audience to work with Ukrainian IT companies.
“In the video, we appeal to current customers of IT companies to continue their cooperation, and to new customers — to emphasize the importance of supporting Ukraine’s economy. If charitable contributions are usually one-time actions, the constant work with Ukrainian companies is nothing but a strategic partnership. It is worth remembering that in addition to paying taxes directly, most IT professionals are actively involved in many volunteer projects,” – says Roman Zomko, CEO at Impressit.
In order not to be unfounded, not to use only dry statistics and strengthen our message, we invited representatives of the two companies, who continue to actively cooperate with Ukrainian developers, to give their comments for the video.
