On September 8, Indeema Software and Vakoms held a charity auction among teams to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The auction raised a substantial sum of UAH 220,020, which was allocated to two important purposes. Half of the funds will be used to purchase a thermal imager for a Vakoms employee. The other half will be used to equip an unmanned aerial vehicle for the 216th battalion of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of Ukraine.
Among the lots were handmade products, homemade pastries, various jewelry, an author’s hike in the mountains, certificates, and military items, such as a Swedish AT-4, for example, a tube from an M-777 shell, or even a container from NLAW. The most expensive lot was a bracelet made from the last pre-war batch of the legendary Azovstal, which was sold for 53 thousand hryvnias. For the largest donation, the participant was presented with a Ukrainian flag signed by fighters of the KRAKEN separate reconnaissance and sabotage unit and a chevron of one of the International Legion battalions called Vovkodav.
“Supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces is very important now. Everyone is tired of the war, so the effectiveness of both the military and civilians may be declining. That’s why we decided to organize an event aimed at motivating people in the rear and raising money for useful things for the defenders at the front”, – added Volodymyr Shevchyk, CEO of Indeema Software.
It should be added that this is not the first time the company has organized such a format. Last year, they also organized a charity auction and managed to raise UAH 130,000. Such initiatives remind us that each of us can contribute to supporting the army and improving conditions for those who defend our country.
