The year 2024 marked a period of growth and productivity for Lviv IT Cluster. We launched numerous new projects, united the tech community around essential initiatives, traveled over 28,000 kilometers across Ukraine, and organized more than ten professional events. The results of our efforts demonstrate that, even during uncertain times, Ukraine’s tech sector showcases remarkable resilience and continues to thrive.
This year’s IT Arena brought together over 5,500 participants from 30 countries, including entrepreneurs, tech company executives, startups, industry experts, media representatives, and more. The event featured over 100 speakers and innovators who shared their expertise across four main tracks.

A unique highlight of this year’s IT Arena was a closed defense exhibition featuring 25 innovative defense developments. Additionally, attendees were introduced to the new Defense Stage.
The Startup Competition, the largest of its kind in Ukraine, was part of IT Arena. This year, we registered a record number of semifinalists – 60. Participants secured the highest-ever investments totaling over $2,255,000, with the prize fund amounting to $85,000.

On November 21, Kyiv hosted the Ukrainian Outsourcing Summit, the first-ever national event for tech company founders, C-level executives, and top managers of service companies. The event gathered over 500 leading tech market players, government representatives, tech clusters, financial sector experts, and donor organizations.
Discussions centered on critical issues facing the tech industry, including the challenges of operating during wartime, legislation and taxation, the investment climate, and growth opportunities.
Speakers included government officials like Mykhailo Fedorov, Oleksandr Bornyakov, Danylo Hetmantsev, and Kateryna Chernogorenko, as well as experts and founders of Ukraine’s leading tech companies such as SoftServe, Intellias, Sigma Software, Sombra, N-iX, and others.

In collaboration with Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, we launched CodeUA, a unique tech marketplace. This platform is designed to help Ukrainian tech companies expand their presence in the global market and attract new clients worldwide. The project is implemented with the support of USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine.
CodeUA provides clients access to verified Ukrainian tech companies, ensuring transparency and reliability. The platform offers tools for quick vendor searches, concierge services, and legal support for contract signing.
CodeUA was unveiled in November on the main stage of the Web Summit in Lisbon. Over 300 Ukrainian tech companies and more than 100 international clients have already joined the platform.
The USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine (USAID CEP) supports Ukrainian businesses aiming to provide support for competitive industries and firms on Ukrainian and international markets, foster a better business enabling environment, and enabling Ukrainian companies to benefit from international trade.

In September, Lviv IT Cluster launched the M&A Office. This project aims to strengthen the Ukrainian tech sector and enhance its global competitiveness through strategic mergers and acquisitions. Its goal is to help tech companies find reliable partners, attract investments, and achieve their business objectives.

In 2024, Lviv IT Cluster hosted 10 IT Meets conferences featuring 115 speakers, including tech specialists, business developers, lawyers, financiers, HR professionals, recruiters, project managers, marketers, designers, and more. They shared valuable insights and case studies.
The conferences attracted 1,800 participants and expanded their reach to Lviv, Ternopil, and Kyiv.

In 2024, every second applicant in the Lviv region applied to bachelor’s programs supported by Lviv IT Cluster through the IT Expert initiative. Currently, 19 programs are offered at four leading universities in Lviv, enrolling over 4,500 students. This year, the Cybersecurity program at Lviv Polytechnic National University attracted the most first-year students.

Additionally, with Lviv ITCluster support, advanced IT courses were launched at Vocational School No. 29 as part of the Vo-Tech School project, aimed at transforming vocational education institutions.
Despite challenging conditions, we are actively working on establishing a Research Center for engineering students in Lviv. It will house interdisciplinary research labs and spaces for startup development. This year, we completed crucial preparatory work to secure the building and advance to the next stage — project development.

In 2024, Lviv IT Cluster developed professional communities, providing platforms for effective experience exchange and networking among tech specialists. We organized 20 webinars with over 2,500 participants and launched the Product Community and M&A Community, bringing the total number of communities to eight.
Lviv IT Cluster’s dynamic growth is also reflected in its expanding membership: 60 new companies joined us this year. Lviv IT Cluster now unites over 300 companies and over 100,000 specialists.
