Lviv IT Cluster and the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine Announce the Software Development Tender Winner of a New Initiative

Lviv IT Cluster is preparing to launch a new Lviv Tech Marketplace initiative, with the support of the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine. The initiative aims to promote the IT industry in the region and help small and medium-size IT companies to attract clients in the target markets. In September, a tender for the development of the project platform was announced. The winner has already been selected.

Lviv IT Cluster, jointly with the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine, selected the winner of the tender for the development of the project initiative platform. The new Lviv Tech Marketplace initiative will look as a platform with the most up-to-date information on Lviv and the region’s IT companies. The initiative will help Lviv and Ukrainian IT companies market and promote their services abroad, compete, and present their services to potential clients through the platform’s profiles. The project aims to provide IT companies with an effective online tool to reach a wider audience of customers in Ukraine and the world, despite their limited marketing and export budget. One of the positive results will also be the promotion and development of regional tourism.

The work on the project has already started. According to preliminary plans, the platform will be ready in 4-5 months. “I am pleased that we are finally starting the development of our ambitious and new project Lviv Tech Marketplace, the idea of which we have been carrying for a long time. From concept to implementation, this is always one of the most enjoyable stages in working on projects. Thank you to the company that prepared very well for the tender and whose vision coincides with our idea of the Lviv Tech Marketplace project,” says Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.

“Impeded business travel, postponed business forums around the world – all these factors highlight the need to create the Lviv Tech Marketplace. Therefore, it is important that we take another step towards launching the initiative by starting the development of a web platform. Many IT companies took part in the competition to get an opportunity to develop the platform, demonstrating high professionalism and understanding of the project. We are glad that an experienced company was selected as the winner of the competition. Although the challenging process of platform development has just started, we are already preparing for the next stages, as the plan is to launch the marketplace next year,” says Valeriy Dobrovolskyi, manager of initiatives for the IT Sector of the USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine Program.

USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine supports startups, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) aiming to provide support for competitive industries and firms on Ukrainian and international markets, foster a better business environment, and enabling Ukrainian companies to benefit from international trade.

Lviv IT Cluster is the largest business association of technology companies in Ukraine, which unites more than 100 members.
