Lviv IT Cluster Donated 1,8 Million UAH Worth of Equipment to the 24th Mechanized Brigade

On November 21, Lviv IT Cluster, together with the Lviv Regional Military Administration, donated rugged laptops, drones and Starlink terminals to the 24th Mechanized Brigade. The equipment will go to the military currently holding the defense in the hottest spots in the east of Ukraine.

Lviv IT Cluster and the Lviv Regional Military Administration have been actively cooperating in matters of regional security and military support since the first days of the full-scale offensive, the tech community decided to respond to the military’s request for the purchase of the necessary equipment.

We faced certain difficulties with ordering the rugged laptops as they weren’t available in Ukraine. But we managed to find them abroad. In total, today, the military received ten Starlink terminals, ten rugged laptops, three 3D printers and five drones. We are glad that we have the opportunity to help the military and will continue to do so in the future,” highlights Stepan Veselovskyi, Lviv IT Cluster CEO. 

The total value of the transferred equipment amounted to more than UAH 1,8 million. The servicemen don’t reveal the details but emphasize that this reinforcement will add trouble to the enemy.

“Modern war involves modern methods and means of conducting it. We cannot, like our enemy, neglect our soldiers’ lives. It is the equipment that helps to fight the enemy and saves hundreds of our defenders’ lives. And this equipment will really help us,” adds Ivan Tataurov, Chief Sergeant of the Marine Infantry Battalion of the 24th Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo.

The head of Lviv Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, emphasized the importance of the joint work of the authorities and the IT industry in supporting Ukraine’s Armed Forces. He received letters of thanks from the military and the flag of the 24th Mechanized Brigade, which was designed as a sign of respect for all those who defended and defend Ukraine.

“Thanks to the Lviv IT Cluster for always responding quickly to all requests of the Lviv Military Administration regarding the soldiers’ needs. Together, we’ll safeguard and support those who defend our state day and night. May every defender return home victorious!” emphasized Maksym Kozytskyi.

The project to support the military of the 24th Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo was called Dracarys because it also aims to make the enemy feel the power of fire. Previously, the Lviv IT Cluster handed over Starlink terminals for the region’s critical infrastructure and the militaries. The association continues to work together with Lviv Military Administration as part of the SKY project, which provides for the technical modernization of the command and analytical centers of the Air Command “West”.
