Lviv IT Cluster Provided 75 Starlink Terminals to Lviv Regional Administration

The transfer of 75 Starlink terminals took place at the Lviv Military Administration on May 3. The regional authorities will distribute the communication systems to the military.

The transfer is part of a project implemented by the Lviv IT Cluster to provide the western region of Ukraine with backup internet access. The goal of the Starlink project is to procure a large batch of Starlink terminals for critical infrastructure in the western regions of Ukraine.

“During our cooperation with the military administration, we have provided Starlink for various needs, namely for critical infrastructure facilities and Points of Invincibility. These 75 terminals will go to the military. Our entire community is happy to support our defenders. We consider it our duty. We are pleased to have such well-established cooperation between the Cluster and the Lviv Regional Administration. This gives us full confidence that these Starlink terminals will go where they are truly needed,” says Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.

Overall, since the first day of the full-scale invasion, Lviv IT Cluster has procured over 1300 terminals for the critical infrastructure of the western region of Ukraine.

“We appreciate the Lviv IT Cluster’s continued assistance. Most of the projects that we implement together are aimed at helping the region’s civilian population, including installing surveillance cameras and upgrading equipment at the Air Command West to better defend against enemy rockets. Thanks to the IT Cluster, we have provided additional communication sources to our civilian infrastructure. The Starlink terminals we received today will be used to meet the needs of the brigades stationed on the front lines and in the near-front areas. We constantly receive requests from the military to improve communication capabilities, so we will hand over all of the Starlink terminals we received today to the military so that they have continuous access to the internet and communication under any conditions,” emphasizes Maskym Kozytsky, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
