Materialise joins Lviv IT Cluster

Materialise incorporates more than three decades of 3D printing experience into a range of software solutions and 3D printing services, which together form the backbone of the 3D printing industry. Materialise open and flexible solutions enable players in a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, automotive, aerospace, art and design, and consumer goods, to build innovative 3D printing applications that aim to make the world a better and healthier place. Headquartered in Belgium, with branches worldwide, Materialise combines the largest group of software developers in the industry with one of the largest 3D printing facilities in the world.

The Additive Manufacturing industry supports the security and foreign policy course of the German Federal Government, European Union and NATO. As an association of various industrial 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing) companies, we support the security and foreign policy course of the German Federal Government, European Union, and NATO against the military actions of Putin and his followers in Ukraine.

With great concern an association looks at the current situation and expresses solidarity with all people affected by the war, who deserve any possible support. For this reason, an association has decided to suspend all business activities in the Russian Federation until further notice. Fully supporting the measures taken by the international community and trusting that all parties involved will exhaust all possibilities at the diplomatic level to bring about peace and avoid further innocent victims. The war must end quickly. In addition, an association of companies offers full support and participation for all necessary humanitarian aid and solution approaches. An association stands behind the Ukrainian people and all those committed to freedom, peace, and democracy. An association welcomes the measures imposed so far and prepared to support any necessary tightening. Business and politics must stand side-by-side in defense of freedom, peace, and democracy. Together we are strong.

“As CEO of Materialise, I believe the invasion of Ukraine is an unjustified act of aggression. Materialise has been present in Ukraine since 2000 and the thoughts and sympathies of all of us at Materialise are with the Ukrainian people. We actively support those who have decided to relocate and those who have decided to stay and defend their country. We will continue to support our Ukrainian employees in the long term as we believe in their invaluable contributions to create a better and healthier world. Together with many companies in our industry we welcome all government initiatives to pressure Russia into a peaceful solution of the conflict” comments Fried Vancraen, CEO at Materialise.

“Definitely, Materialise will strengthen the Lviv IT Cluster community. I believe that our cooperation will be successful, aimed at the active development of the IT industry of Lviv as well as supporting Ukraine in the most difficult times, when we are all united and make every effort for the continuation of a free and democratic country”, says Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO Lviv IT Cluster.
