New Year’s Shark: Almost UAH 2 Million from Intellias for a Reconnaissance Drone for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Intellias has transferred UAH 1.9 million to the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, helping to close the fundraising campaign of Syrsky the Cat and Toronto TV for the Mini Shark reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Soon it will help the military defend our country from invaders.

The Mini Shark is a compact version of the Ukrainian-made Shark reconnaissance UAV, which has already proven itself at the frontline. Weighing approximately 5 kilograms, the system can be launched manually and is easily transportable. The UAV can conduct reconnaissance at a distance of up to 35 km and reach speeds of up to 120 km/hour, operating continuously for nearly 2 hours.

“IT industry is able to provide jobs and to support the economy of Ukraine thanks to our defenders. Intellias has been consistently supporting the military for the second year in a row. We are confident that the Mini Shark reconnaissance unmanned aerial system will contribute to the defense of Ukraine,” –  says Vitaly Sedler, CEO and co-founder of Intellias.

Ukrainian combatants highlight the significance and utility of the Mini Shark UAV in reconnaissance missions. The previous version of the Shark has been effectively used at the frontline for reconnaissance purposes for more than a year.

“The new Mini Shark system has the same advanced communication technologies, optics, and target tracking software as the previous version. However, it also has a number of advantages for specific tasks. In particular, it can be launched from the very forefront (our positions), as the whole system is two backpacks and an operator’s laptop. This allows us to reconnoiter the enemy and coordinate the work of artillery and HIMARS to a depth of 30-40 kilometers,” – says Roman Balan, a junior lieutenant in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Intellias regularly “celebrates” important events by supporting the military. No significant date passes without financial support for important fundraisings. Particularly, in 2022, on the occasion of the company’s 20th anniversary, Intellias donated UAH 5.5 million to the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, which was used to purchase a FlyEye unmanned aerial system for our military in the Kherson region. In August 2023, in celebration of Company Day, Intellias donated UAH 6.3 million to the Come Back Alive charity foundation for six Leleka-100 drones.

Consistently supporting Ukraine’s defenders, Intellias reinforces frontline units with off-road vehicles and procures necessary equipment. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the company’s financial aid has surpassed UAH 80 million. Beyond supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Intellias aids military personnel in transitioning to civilian life. Collaborating with the Veteran Hub charity organization, Intellias has developed a program for the reintegration and employment of specialists with combat experience.
