The Cluster has Handed Over Equipment to Air Command West

On August 2, the Lviv Military Administration hosted a handover of equipment to the Air Defense Forces of the western region as part of the SKY project.

The military received equipment that will strengthen the technical component of the work of the centers of the Air Command West. In particular, these are 5 Starlink systems, 15 laptops, printers, network equipment, phones, and routers. The total value of the equipment is about UAH 1,000,000.

“We continue implementing the SKY project with our large community and partners. SKY was launched in the first months of the full-scale invasion. Today, we have already purchased and transferred the equipment necessary for the operation of our Air Defense Forces, worth more than UAH 17 million. I am grateful to every company of Lviv IT Cluster that supports this project,” says Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.

The military of the Air Command West protects the skies of eight regions in the west of Ukraine: Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, and Chernivtsi.

“Assistance is essential to us. It enables us to work much faster and better. You can see the results over the past months,” says Denys Levkovych, an Air Command West representative.

Among the donors supporting the SKY project and the Victory Projects initiative are Linkup Studio and Leobit.

“We joined this project because we want to be involved in bringing victory closer and helping the military. It is a difficult time for the tech industry, but our company is concentrating on supporting the military. Understanding that we are not working in vain and contributing to the victory makes our work more meaningful,” says Oleksa Stelmakh, CEO of Leobit.

“During an air raid, when you are sitting in a shelter, everything seems to stop. But at the same time, you realize there are people somewhere doing a tough job and keeping us alive. Therefore, supporting the Air Defense Forces is our duty. We are pleased to support the project that makes the Air Command West better equipped,” adds Andriy Sambir, CEO of Linkup Studio.

The project is being implemented with the Lviv IT Cluster, the Lviv Military Administration, and the Air Command West. The project involves the modernization of the technical support of the analytical and command centers of the Air Command West.

“Success on the battlefield directly depends on the professionalism of the military and the use of modern technologies. Lviv region is a rear, but even here, there are high risks of an attack from the sky, as it was recently. That is why support for our air defense forces is extremely important. Lviv IT Cluster always responds to the requests of our military, border guards, and air defenders, and we are very grateful to them for that,” summarizes Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of Lviv Regional Military Administration.

The SKY project is one of the Victory Projects initiatives launched by the Cluster at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The goal of SKY is to help modernize the Air Command West.
