Ukrainian Companies-Signatories of the Ukraine Business Compact will be Represented During the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2023

On June 21, the second annual international conference on Ukraine’s recovery, Ukraine Recovery Conference 2023, will begin in London.

Last year, the URC2022 conference, which took place on June 4-5, 2022 in Lugano, Switzerland, was attended by over 1,000 people and 58 international delegations (representatives of governments and international organisations) took part in launching the political process of Ukraine’s recovery during the conference. As a result of the conference, Switzerland and Ukraine, with the support of international partners, presented the Lugano Declaration.

This year’s URC2023 will focus on mobilising international support for Ukraine’s economic and social stabilisation and further recovery from the war, including through emergency assistance for immediate needs and financing for private sector participation in the recovery process.

The position of Ukrainian business during URC2023 will be represented by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine. In fulfilment of this mission, on the eve of the international conference, UN Global Compact in Ukraine has become a hub for the Ukraine Business Compact 2023 – the Principles for the Long-Term Sustainable Economic Recovery of Ukraine, which are being initiated by the Ukraine Recovery Conference and will be presented at this international conference. Previously, the Ukraine Business Compact had to be signed only by international companies that would be investors in Ukraine’s recovery. However, the UN Global Compact in Ukraine has made great efforts to ensure that Ukrainian companies are also involved in signing these important Principles.

In June 2023, a significant number of leading Ukrainian national and international companies joined the signing of the Ukraine Business Compact, including MHP, Epicentr-K, Astarta, IT-Integrator, Interpipe, Ukrzaliznytsia JSC, IMC, Ukrenergo, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine, Datagroup-Volia, Metinvest, Caparol Ukraine, Asters, Auchan Ukraine, Infotech, Carlsberg Ukraine, KNESS, Moneyveo, FILM. UA Group, Ferrexpo Group.

The companies-signatories of the Ukraine Business Compact 2023 have taken responsibility for adhering to the sustainable principles of investment, international cooperation and national economic growth, which are the basis for the sustainability of Ukraine’s economy during the war period and the development of our country after the Victory.
