The international IT company ELEKS has won the Best Employer Brand Awards Adria, a prestigious award that recognizes the leading employer brand management initiatives in the Adriatic region. The region includes Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Albania.
ELEKS received this award due to the successful implementation of the ELEKS Together project, which was a significant step in bringing together experts working in more than 20 locations around the world.
With the company’s growth and the opening of new offices worldwide, it became necessary to unite colleagues from different cultural and national backgrounds. ELEKS has more than 2,100 specialists in 15 countries, and most of whom work remotely.
ELEKS Together has not only helped to bond, but also emphasized the value of each specialist, regardless of their geographic location or cultural context.
Exploring the cultures
During 2022-2024, the company organized 16 events, which were joined by more than 1400 ELEKSers from Ukraine, Croatia, Argentina, Poland, Spain, and Romania, which is about 60% of the entire community. What’s special about it? The speakers of the events were the same ELEKSers who introduced their colleagues to their culture.
The events included lectures, workshops, themed days, and even culinary master classes. For example, one of these master classes in Croatia was held in a hybrid format – online and offline at the same time.
Family friendly events
ELEKS was founded by a family, so taking care of ELEKS parents and their close relatives is an important part of the company. As part of the ELEKS Together, 72 events were held, including family days, children’s events, themed meetings, and office anniversaries. These events were attended by 383 children and over 2000 employees.
ELEKS Cares: corporate volunteering
Another important part of building a strong community is uniting around a common idea. Volunteering gives a sense of significance, which then has a positive impact on the attitude towards colleagues and the company as a whole.
As part of this project, in 2023, 52 volunteer projects were implemented in five countries (Ukraine, Poland, Croatia, Estonia, the United States), involving 350 volunteers and impacting more than 5,600 people.
The Employee Relations team has created a global channel that brought together more than 2,000 active participants for official communications and informal communication.
For example, a separate subchannel dedicated to corporate volunteering has become one of the most active, where colleagues share ideas and stories about their initiatives. This platform has become an important tool for increasing employee engagement.
The implementation of ELEKS Together was one of the most complex communication campaigns at ELEKS. Thanks to this project, the company has achieved a significant improvement in eNPS scores, including:
