On May 18-19, 2022 tech executives, educational leaders and students from across Ukraine came together for IT Future Conf, themed: “Jump-start your career in tech.” Launched in its current virtual format in 2022 by Lviv IT Cluster, IT Future Conf brought together top industry leaders and thousands of students across all parts of Ukraine, in particular, Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Melitopol, Energodar and Kryvyi Rih, to share best practices on ICT in education that help students navigate today’s best academic and vocational institutions, develop skills in data science and machine learning, and prepare them for what’s ahead in careers or college.
Around 3,000 attendees joined the event from across Ukraine and Europe, mainly Munich, Warsaw, Hamburg, Leipzig, Katowice, Poznan, and Antalya for two days of incredible lectures on the secrets of building a successful career in the tech industry.
Speakers covered a wide range of topics:
- Data Science

- UI/UX Design
- Software Engineering

- Human resources (HR)
Nearly 30,000 questions have been submitted during the conference, with the majority asking what tech professions will be popular in the future and what programs can allow learners to develop most sought-after tech career skills and meet competences that help them land jobs.
“This has been a very difficult period for our students. First pandemic. Then distance learning. Now, Russia invades Ukraine,” Lviv IT Cluster CEO Stepan Veselovskyi says. “It is easy to get lost during such stormy times. That’s why IT Future Conf is here. We’re trying to help students get into the job market quickly and efficiently. I hope we can host an offline conference next year.”
Congrats to a ninth-grade student from Lviv, the winner of Macbook Air M1, provided by our Silver Partner Gameloft.
SoftServe became the Gold Part of IT Future Conf. Roman Karpyuk, CSOC Specialist at SoftServe, shared expert tips for students on how to get the most of their training:
- Keep on studying. Get the most out of your college years.
- Get certified. The verification of the education process is an important part of a pre-employment background check procedure, and it allows you to apply a theory to better address challenges in cybersecurity, for example.
- Don’t ignore courses. They improve the quality of knowledge and help to find a mentor or like-minded community.
- Before you commit to enrolling in a program, it can be helpful to get a better grasp on what you can expect as a student. Learn more about the faculty, learning models, the disciplines which companies and organisations the school cooperates with.
Were delighted to have the support of Vector, Channel 24 and SPEKA.media as the media partners of the event.
