The summer period is not only about holidays but also about an active university admissions campaign. Lviv IT Cluster Bachelor’s programs are popular among this year’s applicants: more than 13,000 students applied for the modernized degree programs of Lviv IT Cluster. The most popular programs include Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering.
Lviv Polytechnic National University
Lviv Polytechnic National University was the most popular choice of the applicants: Lviv IT Cluster Bachelor’s programs received more than 8,000 applications. The most popular field among current applicants remains “Computer Science” (№122) – it received over 2,659 applications, meaning 5.9 students compete for a place. The licensed capacity of the program – 450 students.
- Artificial Intelligence is one of the most popular programs among the number of submitted applications. It is worth mentioning that the Bachelor’s program intake capacity equals 120, of which 90 students will get a scholarship from the state.
- Cybersecurity is the second most popular program. The number of applications it received – 2,313. A total of 240 students can enroll in the program, 121 of whom will get a scholarship from the state. Lviv IT Cluster contributed to the development of the degree program specialization 0400 “Administration of Cyber Security Systems” (which students can choose after the first year of studies).
- Business Analytics & Data Science program comes third in our rating. The program intake capacity is 90, and the maximum number of students who can get a scholarship from the state is 33. 836 students applied for the program, with 9.3 people competing for one place.
- DevOps & Project Management program received 821 applications. The program’s intake capacity is 85 students, with 24 state scholarships available.
- 793 students applied for the Internet of Things program. The program’s intake capacity is 150. 65 are eligible for a scholarship from the state. IoT is the first Bachelor’s program updated by Lviv IT Cluster.
- IT Sales Management, a completely new educational program, also showed excellent results – 415 applications. 11 students will receive a scholarship, with the total amount of students eligible for a program being 35.
- Robotics, or Metrology and Information and Measurement Technology demonstrated good results among applicants too. In total, 245 students applied for the program, with 195 places available. 53 students will receive a scholarship.
Ivan Franko National University of Lviv
Lviv IT Cluster programs at Ivan Franko Lviv National University received 4,483 applications.
- With over 1169 applications, the Software Engineering program is seeing the most fierce competition. The program’s intake capacity is 75, with only 6 state scholarships available.
- Cybersecurity is the second most popular program at Ivan Franko Lviv National University. The program received 895 applications, with its intake capacity being just 60 students. 15 applicants compete for a chance to study at this program. The number of scholarships – 6.
- Data Science & Intelligent Systems program has also been popular among applicants this year. It received 781 applications (7.81 students compete for a chance to study at the program). The licensed intake capacity of the program is 100 students; 13 of them will receive scholarships from the state.
- Data Science & Computer Science program has already gained popularity among prospective students. During the admission campaign, it has received 746 applications. 67 out of 85 admitted students will receive scholarships from the state.
- 303 applicants submitted applications to the HR Management in Public Authorities & Business program. The program’s intake capacity is 40, with only 4 scholarships available.
- Sensor & Analytical Systems program received 271 applications, which almost doubled the number of applications received during the previous admission campaign. 55 students out of the total 100 will receive state scholarships.
- 173 graduates are interested in the Electronics & Computer Systems program. The program’s intake capacity is 100 students, with only 5 scholarships available.
- 145 students applied for Statistics & Data Science program; The program’s maximum intake capacity is 60, with 32 scholarships available.
Lviv State University of Life Safety
441 students applied to the Lviv State University of Life Safety for the Cybersecurity program. This number doubled the last year’s admission campaign applications. The program’s intake capacity is 30 students. There are no scholarships available.
Application deadlines: submission of original documents ends on August 2, and state scholarships will be allocated by August 9.
